A Tee That'll Be There for You

I haven't bought a shirt in months. Just yesterday I said I was saving money and not going to buy any, and I thought I was going to keep that promise for a while longer. But an exception must be made for this, a Friends t-shirt. I've never seen one and this has a bunch of hilarious quotes. It can't be passed up. As always, it's $10 and the deal is up at the end of the day.

Of course the one I wanted to embed is "disabled by request": Ross' Sandwich

Supernatural LARP Shirt

Two shirts I like in one day? One from a favorite game and the other from a favorite show? And me without money to waste? This is a sad day, indeed. I love the design, though. I can't believe "Manny" made it and got it up on RiptApparel so soon after the episode, "LARP and the Real Girl" from Supernatural. It was one of the funny episodes, like "Mystery Spot," where Sam had his own Groundhog Day. These are always my favorites.

If you like the design, it's only $10. You have just over 8 hours to buy it before it's gone for good. Well, not necessarily for good. Sometimes the artists will put their designs up on other 24-hour t-shirt sites, but it's not guaranteed.

Portal Versus TeeFury

Damn, not another TwoFury! I usually want to buy one of them and it's been such a long while since I have. No more room plus saving money equals sad face. But I'll get over it. You, though, can buy your shirt of choice for the next 13 hours. While the TeeFury bird is cute, the Portal Companion Cube is the clear winner with me. I love Portal. I haven't played it in quite a while, but I have fond memories, especially of the hilarious (and deadly) Wheatley.

John Noble in Friend

2/13/2013

Fringe may be over, but that doesn't mean this blog is, too. I remember a time where I didn't exclusively talk about just one show. That only happened because it was the end and every waking moment I was thinking about it. Now I hope to share news once in a while about new projects in which the good people of Fringe are involved.

Joel Wyman is working on an android-human buddy cop show for J.J. Abrams, but everyone should know that by now. There's been no word for the last month, so I assume he's quite busy. And something that just came up this week is the incomparable John Noble in a short film called Friend. I'd heard about it a while ago and had no idea what it would be. I'm happy to finally see at least a bit of it. Ari Margolis, the wonderful editor of many, many Fringe videos, cut the teaser, which shows that, though he isn't playing Walter Bishop anymore, Noble hasn't lost any of his magic. This looks quite good.

The Inconceivables Versus Found

Sometimes Waldo was so easy to find and other times...I just wanted to hurt him. Glad I'm not the only one. Though, that doesn't mean I think that shirt should win. I love The Incredibles and The Princess Bride is my favorite movie, so "The Inconceivables" to me is much more deserving of all the attention. I would be buying it if I hadn't already a few months ago at a different t-shirt site. In fact, I was just wearing it today. You can get your own for just $10. But don't wait, because it's gone in just over 9 hours.

Speaking of The Princess Bride, if you're somehow never seen it or haven't bought it yet, it's available for about $15 at CD Universe.

Fringe Events Continue

2/08/2013

Tonight is the third AF (After Fringe) Friday night Twitter event, organized by GodsGirl1989. Hopefully, we can keep doing this for the foreseeable future. Our goal is to keep talking about Fringe and get more people interested, but also to stay in touch with other Fringies and never let our love for this amazing show wither. It's something that inevitably happens to all shows in our lives. They get cancelled and eventually we lose interest, because there are no new episodes to keep us entertained. There are very few that can do that long after they're gone. Friends is one of those few. It's so good that every episode is just as hilarious as the first time. In this way, I know that Fringe will be with us forever. It's one of those shows that you have to play over and over, because it's so dense with character, lovingly crafted, and richly rewarding.

Unforunately, I will not be watching. Usually I watch an episode or two on Friday, but no longer in the same timeslot as Fringe used to occupy. Once a show is done, my family takes that new found time to catch up with other. We'll still watch marathons once in a while, but not during primetime. And I'm not going to hide in my room to watch alone, because, as anyone should learn from Fringe, family is important. By the way, while I'm writing this I'm watching Kirk Acevedo on CSI.

If you participate, tonight from 8 to 9 PM EST, use the hashtag #AlwaysInOurHearts. Be sure to get an avatar. I'm using the following, but it seems to have been removed.
