"So, you're saying to save S.H.I.E.L.D.–"
—Daisy

"We have to save Hydra."
—Coulson

I am not ready for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to end. I'm not even ready for the Beginning of the End. We've been waiting quite a while for it to start, but can we wait even longer, please? Then it doesn't have to end any time soon.

It was such a devastating past couple seasons, and so well done, so sad. Everyone involved did such a great job. There were great things about every season and each improved upon the last. The story continually expanded, the characters changed and grew, some were tragically lost, and the performances got deeper with every struggle and heartache they went through.

Throughout the series we went through an enormous betrayal, a truly dysfunctional family, the danger and loneliness of being different, hypoxic brain injury, a beloved character stranded on a distant planet, an ancient mutant human with a huge chip on his shoulder, learning how to harness the power inside, the universe trying to keep two soul mates apart, A.I. run amok, convincing mostly evil robot decoys, a fascist simulation as deadly as any reality, a demon with a badass car, a future where the Earth has been reduced to chunks of rock floating in space, our worst fears come to life, the fragility of mental health, working with the greatest enemy, oppressors from other worlds enslaving the last of us at the world's end, time travel and endless time loops, a friendly synthetic being trying to prevent catastrophe, a good man having his mind warped by fear and unnatural power, the trauma of watching two vital characters die in one nearly series finale, living humans crystalizing and being torn apart, and alien god body snatchers. Just to name a few.

We witnessed the tremendous beauty of Iain De Caestecker giving everything he had in so many scenes and tearfully watched Fitz's last moments at the end of season 5. We were so relieved to find him again last season, and torn up again when he found out what had happened. We said goodbye to Coulson more than once—when he gave his life for the world, his heart already giving out after being used up by Ghost Rider, then again when we thought maybe we had him back. Our hopes were dashed in bonus season 6, when Sarge finally succumbed to the parasite that had taken over his cloned body after showing us glimpses of the man he used to be. That hurt.

It's been a beautiful, funny, wonderful ride that was always my favorite from Marvel alongside Iron Man/Tony Stark/RDJ. I'm going to miss it so much. It was my replacement for Fringe when that series ended. I can't believe it's 7 years already.
