‪"Give us what we want and we'll let you live to cry about it."‬
—Jemma Simmons

Oh, yeah, Jemma! I loved sweet, innocent Simmons, but tough Simmons makes me want to cheer. At first I didn't realize this was a clip from the first episode of the season and assumed Jemma and Daisy were looking for the Coulson clone, imposter, parallel world mercenary, whatever. Let's just say menacing doppelgänger for now. Then I thought about it for a second. They wouldn't want to bring home that new Coulson except to imprison and interrogate him, but that "bring home" felt personal to Simmons. It must be about Fitz. They weren't just going to leave him out in space and that's where they are. 1+1. :)

It's going to be so good to have Fitz back. (We BETTER get Fitz back.) Remembering season 5 and all the pain they went through, at least Fitz and Simmons had one happy memory of getting married. Ooooh, noooo, that Fitz died, unexpectedly, horribly - and Iain gave a stunning performance. This Fitz is the one who was waiting to get to the future, to save everyone, to save his other half. He only has memories of their time on Earth, all those memories of being torn from each other over and over. I wonder how Simmons will bring it up and how Fitz will process that they were married and he missed so much, became a little darker, helped save the whole world. I'm really looking forward to their scenes together.

That's it from me right now, just a few random thoughts. I wish I had more time to think about it, but it's late. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be back on Friday anyway and there will be plenty more to talk about...if I ever get a chance to get to it. In the meantime, to tide you over, here's the promised clip (via Superhero Hype).
