Laugh and Cry, Effin Cry. What's the difference?

First time I ever heard the theme song in Family Guy's first year I thought I heard "effin cry."  Now I think of the funnier lyrics every time I sing the correct ones.  I've wondered before if other people heard the same thing, but never bothered to check.  Well, now I don't have to because they addressed it in the latest episode, "Friends of Peter G."  It certainly caught me off-guard and might be my favorite line this year.

    yeah in the closed captions it used to caption it "effin cry" sometimes so that's why I noticed the line.

    That's hilarious. I wish I'd seen it. I use captions sometimes when I just can't figure out a word or others are too loud, but I guess they've never been on during Family Guy.
